oh, amazon
Feb. 6th, 2011 10:36 amI just want to take a moment to honor the amazingness that is amazon.com. This morning's email from them suggested the following selection for me:
The Giver
Number the Stars
A Wrinkle in Time
The Iliad (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition)
Holes
Lady Audley's Secret (Oxford World's Classics)
Beyond Good and Evil
Now, except for the last two, I've read all of these before and adore them, so good call, Amazon, but let's get some fresh ideas. Lady Audley's Secret sounds like some Victorian romance, which....it is, lol. Mary Elizabeth Braddon, sexually powerful woman, Victorian sensationalist novel. And then the last is Nietzche.
In conclusion: I love amazon.com and their cheap prices and my free student shipping and their often silly but also adorable suggestion lists.
