I keep telling myself that I need to buckle down and do the summer work that was assigned for this program I'm so excited for, but every time I grab The Iliad, regardless of how much I loved the first couple of chapters/books, I can't find the motivation to actually read more of it.  Instead I sit and read the Narnia books, or Narnia fanfiction, or try to write, even though I'm stalled out on chapter two (how lame) because I can only write the climactic exciting parts and not the nitty gritty setup.  I feel so productive after a good night of research and writing, but then I realize I'm not doing any of the stuff that is vital to my academic success.  'Tis a problem, and yet, characteristically of this summer, I have no desire to fix it.
