My little brother and I were outside playing soccer this afternoon and all of a sudden there was a loud buzzing and flapping noise, and two hummingbirds rose up from a bush and started flying madly around each other. My brother made some comment about how he thought mating season was in the spring, and I started off on this whole lecture about how they were probably cussing each other out and fighting over the plants. And then I felt supremely vindicated when one drove the other one off. Facepalm.

P. S. Warm enough to play soccer outdoors? Ugh this is very unjust. I am freezing my legwarmers off. 19 degrees the other day.

Definitely warm enough - it was maybe 50-something degrees. Waaay warmer than I've gotten used to, and I was going to play that soccer, gosh darnit! whether it was warm or not. My bare feet did freeze a teensy bit, but it was worth it.

I miss my 20 degree weather. :(
