Dear Santa,
:DDDDD Thank you in advance! Considering you offered to write at least one of my requested fandoms, you are clearly awesome and whatever you write will make me feel the holiday love.
I guess here's where I mention some general stuff in case you need ideas of what I like?
Basically, no matter the fandom, I tend to like fairly 'deep' stuff, I suppose - I love theological, philosophical, sociological ramblings, world travel and cultural reflection, religions, angels and God and gods and nature and literature and history, science applied to theology and vice versa, art, poetry. I like fantastical stories and realistic stories, I like angst and humor, lightheartedness and serious introspection. Honestly, anything you write for any of my requests, I am bound to love.
I'll try to give slightly more specific thoughts on each fandom:
The English Patient - most of what I said above, really. I love this book for it's sweeping beauty, it's cultural and religious and political and ideological thoughts, the tension among the characters, the panoramic setting of the plot. I adore Hana and love her relationship with Kip, and I'm also super intrigued by Almasy and Katharine, so anything with those characters would make me incredibly happy - but honestly, anything to do with any of the characters in the book would be glorious.
Magic School Bus - a recently rekindled love, and I'm open to just about anything for this one. Something following the general episodic plots of the show, a futurefic with the kids grownup, a field trip to a fantasy realm, literally anything!
Trojan Women - as I noted slightly in my signup, I'm especially interested in Andromache and Cassandra, not just for their roles in this play specifically but as characters throughout Greek literature/mythology, so I would be especially grateful for a focus on them, though I would be more than happy for anything to do with this play. Also, I know the play itself is heavy on the weeping and wailing angst, which is totally cool, but I'd also be down for lighter stuff using the characters from it.
In conclusion, what I'm really saying is - ANYTHING. I'm just so excited to get a fic based in any of these fandoms, and am really really looking forward to it!
Thank you in advance, happy writing, and happy holidays!!
