I guess what I want to say is that the only way I truly see D/C is when they meet in that un-world midway between human and angel, when Cas' human experiences come out strongly and when Dean's time in hell is prominent. I think Dean can almost understand super-human love, and I think Cas can almost understand human love, but tbh if I ever see Dean/Cas it's from a viewpoint of like...the two of them being connected by their lack of connection to so much else. If that makes sense.
Cas is NOT HUMAN. And that's the best part about him, that's what's so amazing about the character, and that's why Misha Collins deserves every acting award ever.
