Thank you for wanting to write one of these!! Mostly I'm just going to be really excited to get a story for any of them, but I do have a couple general requests that I hope will make it easier on you, thought they also just might be confusing, because I like a lot of different types of stories. The point being, I'm pretty sure that I will love just about whatever I get.
Generally, I prefer stories focused on female characters, which I suppose my character requests reflect - however, I'm more than open to the addition of other characters, to multiple pov, or what have you. I tend to gravitate more toward gen or gen-with-undertones-of-pairings, but if you are inspired to do a pairing, I'm open to any.
I love emotional or physical adventures, introspection, philosophizing, theologizing, mythologizing, and any number of other -izings :D I'm a huge fan of smart and capable ladies telling their own stories, and I love both canon exploration and worldbuilding, as well as AUs. I like happy endings, but I also really love gritty, complex, dark stories. Meta is cool :D
As I sort of said, I'd prefer not to have romance as the centerpoint of a story, but I don't mind at all if it's there. I would ask for no rape, non-con/dub-con, misogyny, character bashing, or general negativity - I am alright with these things being present if part of a character's established backstory or whatnot, but I'd rather they not be the main point, and that they be examined critically.
Till We Have Faces - CS Lewis
I adore CS Lewis for Narnia, but often find that as much as I love his writing and storytelling, I have a lot of complex issues with it. Till We Have Faces was an utter amazement to me because of its incredible complexity, self-awareness, worldbuilding, and character development. I would never be able to write fic for it myself, but I would absolutely adore more exploration of Orual and Istra and everything about their relationship. I would be ecstatic to get more of Psyche's side of things - doubt of herself or of Orual, her physical experience on the mountain, interactions with gods other than Eros? I also loved the politics of this world, so more of that would be grand. (She wasn't a nominated character but if you wanted to explore Redival too I would love that).
Greek and Roman Mythology
One of my absolute favorite things about any mythological narrative is its flexibility - this is definitely a fandom in which I would love an AU, a modern day representation, anything like that exploring the characters in different settings (for reference, I am constantly all mushy over Rick Riordan's various mythology series). Again, characters chosen probably tell you a fair amount - in mythology I am obsessed with exploring the women who are victimized, villainized, or left behind. I noted Orpheus, and I love his story, but I mostly chose him because I didn't have an option to choose Eurydice - if you wanted them, I would adore an exploration of the Underworld from both sides, or some such thing. I adore doomed Cassandra, betrayed Ariadne, and cursed Medusa, and ajewpoaijrgpoijapoeij I would be so happy for anything about any or all of them! (also I'm noticing that I picked all human - that is in fact a trope that I love, the way mortals are affected by higher powers, for good or bad, and the balance between fate/free will etc).
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke
I just read this book this past summer, and I plowed through it like none other, and was in awe the whole way through - I adore the insertion of magic (practical magic!) into history, and the way Clarke makes it a part of the historical events without just magically winning at everything. I love the complexities and politics of the magic, the ways in which it is trampled and subject to the whims and prides of its practitioners. I love the exploration of Faery and the cruelties and beauties and traps thereof. And, again, my character choices - I love Clarke's portrayal of the women, but I want mooooooore. I would love Lady Pole's experience of her blessing/curse, or she and Arabella on an adventure in Faery, or anything starring them.
