Funny how just three days at home is enough to remind me just why I was so pleased to get out of here last year. Ay.

Calling insurance tomorrow. Woot.  Had Annoying Boy say to me "you're still stressing about that? ugh." which, clearly, just made me totally stop stressing about it. Idiot. *grumbles*

Got to see lots of friends at church tonight, that was nice.

The Blind Side is lovely.  I adore Sandra Bullock, and the whole movie was really well done.

Who!  The Lodger was fantabulous -Matt Smith in a towel and also owning at football, what more could I want? He sends cats upstairs to spy for him, seriously. I am in love.  I'm going to DIE next week.

True Blood premiere was predictably ridiculous and amazing.  Naked AlSkar was a huge plus.  Creepy awkward Bill was creepy and awkward. I'm sort of totally on team Bill/Sam.  I still love Jessica and the queen like none other.

Stonehenge Apocalypse. I don't even know what to say.  So awesomely horrible.  To me the whole movie was in fact about Misha Collins' face and how Cas was looking for God, so.  Jacob is clearly a vessel and Joseph is clearly an angel. And that sanctuary-pyramid in Maine is connected to the Roanoke colony and the Croatoan virus. Somehow.  And I want to know why Misha has not tweeted about this movie yet.  Probably because he is too busy killing himself laughing over all of us watching it.

No means no, Annoying Boy. Not liking you and salvation in the Kingdom of God are compatible. "It's over" means "over" and not "maybe until I change my mind, Dude." Get your boots out for this one, girlfriend, because you need drama like I need dog hair in my shoes.

And the rules of speaking to claims adjusters:
1) it's their job to ask questions
2) it's their job to get someone else to pay for it
3) Yes, No, I don't know, I don't remember. These words are YOUR FRIENDS. Don't babble
4) They are not lawyers. Repeat. There are no lawyers here.
5) Passive voice is your friend too. "The room flooded." Not "we flooded the room" because totally, you didn't. The water flooded the room. The water is the enemy.
6) They will be very interested in who else knew about the lines from the sprinkler before it happened. how long was it up? Who saw it? (Because then they get someone else to pay for it).
7) She, her, it. Not We, not us. She, her, it.

Done. You'll totally rock at this. You'll be great.

Your rules for speaking to claims adjustors are both humorous and terrifying, and I will try to keep them tucked away in my mind for that unavoidable time in the future when I- wait, no- when something breaks.

Calling insurance... that should be... fun. Good luck! (And I think rth's rules are absolutely amazing! Filing them away for future reference.)

And I so very much agree with you about The Lodger. So fantabulous. And Craig and Sophie were so adorably cute/awkward. But YES. MATT SMITH IN TOWEL.

And I didn't actually watch SA, but I spent a good deal of time laughing over some of the very bad reviews. Was it really that horrible? ...except for Misha face and the rest.

Oh yeah, it was really that bad. Bad writing, poor delivery on a lot of the actors' parts, bad fake science, and not even that great of CGI special effects. BAD BAD BAD. But SO good.
