It must be the apocalypse! . . . oh wait, that's the thing that just killed Jo and Ellen. That ripping sound you hear would be my heart.
In other news: Trickster = bomb. I'm not sure still if I like that he's Gabriel or not. On the one hand, it's really awesome. On the other, it rather undermines the power of the trickster and brings everything back to a biblical focus; I'd kind of liked the Trickster's presence for the whole added pantheon of lore. On the third hand, I do know that Loki and Kali will both be making appearances later, so maybe I can deal with this. And I really do like the angel-as-trickster thing - a sense of humor! And we got such emotion from him!
Speaking of emotion - Castiel, my love. "I think I'm starting to feel something." Hilaaarious! And did y'all see the way Jo was looking at him? If she'd maybe SURVIVED longer, well, I was seeing some real Cas/Jo/Dean tension going on there (the kiss! You can tell me he's big brotherly to her all you want, but, um, no). Hmmm much like Cas/Anna/Dean, no? Where IS Anna, btw? In my head she's also off searching for God.
Cas' powers aren't all there! Ack! Now, that did open the gate to his kickass manner of dealing with Meg - I found it very interesting that he sort of kind of seduced her to death; it's a very demonic thing to do, which says something I think about how much Cas is picking up as he watches watches watches. And Castiel interacting with Lucifer! That was awesome. Keep up the faith, Cas, I'm sure you're right! God isn't dead! Raphael doesn't know what he's talking about! Lucy's, well, I was going to say lame, but he's actually pretty fabulous - let's just say that Lucy's gonna get what's coming to him! Team free will!
What other episodes did I watch today? Hmm, I started out being bored by I Believe the Children are our Future, but then I ended up loving it. Jesse! So adorable, so angsty! Crowley's pretty amaaazing. With the Trickster episode, I LOVED the boys being thrown into all those shows. Chuck/Becky = love, and I even liked the Paris Hilton episode!
Alas, all that doesn't have much emotion behind it right now though, because I'm sort of irrevocably focused on how amazing Cas is, and the tears that are still flowing for Jo and Ellen.

Date: 2010-05-08 08:21 am (UTC)She got captured in 4x21, remember? Cas betrayed her and turned her in. I reckon she's still captured.
WHY NO MENTION OF EPISODE 5x04, WHICH IS TOTALLY AMONG THE BEST OF ALL SPN EPISODES???? A significant chunk of my SPN fic are 5x04-related, and it is totally my episode husband. I keep coming back to it without even meaning to, just so naturally drawn.

Date: 2010-05-08 08:41 am (UTC)and aksjizjegeih 5.04 I can't believe I forgot to mention that one! CAS OMG GO WASH FOR THE ORGY. Dean angst to the max, Zachariah being all jerkishly boss, DEAN, CASTIEL I LOVE YOU, and destiny!
Let's see, looking back at skype...this episode brought out all my thoughts on the nature of free will, which don't really jive with what the show seems to be presenting re: the power of destiny. I'll have to post about that once I've thought about it more/seen the rest of season 5.
Vat else...Cas hates phones, lol to the max. And then he just stood there and waited! "The voice says I'm almost out of minutes." I haven't decided yet if I like Cas being used as a vehicle for humor, but I'm pretty sure I do. My thoughts on Cas-the-human-stoner went "omg wtf that smile Misha you're the BESTEST EVER he said NO DICE OMG HE SAID NO DICE"
SAM IS OUT FOR REDEMPTION. Loves it.
President Palin - I lol'd for about an hour.
CHUCK. Toilet paper. Hoard it. It's made of gold. I adore Chuck.
Sam as Lucifer, not my fave. I thought his facial acting of it was brilliant - the vocal delivery, not so much.
Lucifer's thoughts on humans omg. I can't decide if he's sympathetic or just creepy, but either way it's awesome. At that point I said "so..whether or not God is dead (God's not dead), I like that they've got him being gone for now because that really makes it a war between angels
- celestial civil war, and that's so brillz"..."because who's right? who's wrong? Lucifer makes good points, but obvs he's destroying all the humans - and we've got angels like Cas, but we also have Uriel and Zachariah and Raphael - and it makes one wonder...why aren't they being cast down? They are hating on humans as much as Lucifer"
And, yeah. CAS LOVE ORGIES.

Date: 2010-05-08 07:48 pm (UTC)There totally needs to be Sarah Palin POV SPN fic about how she became president. She smells something like rotten eggs, and there is a man that she could've sworn for a second had completely black eyes.
